Fall Refresh: Front Porch Decor
One of my favorite fall traditions is decorating the front porch in October. And after quite a year, I’m embracing my ‘basic’-ness because like why not? This year I went for a more modern look inspired by this drip painting pumpkins (no carve DIY) as my accents. I feel like painting pumpkins is making a comeback? Even HGTV did an article if you want some ideas - 37 Painted Pumpkin Ideas!
Every year I put together a fall inspiration board to get my creative ideas a boost, so if you need some fresh ideas follow my pinterest board or check out these 20+ Beautiful and Festive Fall Front Porch Decorating Ideas that One Kindesign put together for us this year!
Below is some drip painting tips!
DRIP PAINTING PUMPKINS (NO CARVE DIY)
I used acrylic paint and added in some paint extender (aka the stuff that doesn’t dilute the color but helps it run.) Others have used milk paint you can find at your local hardware/paint store. With the extender, it does takes a solid three days to dry, so might want to chose your paint depending on your timeline.
